Individual Tuition
Sessions are offered to individuals who may need personal tuition in any of the following areas:
MENTORING
For actors, playwrights and other professional workers who need career guidance or a re-assessment of their present situation, or who need on-going help to set up and realise their own projects.
PROFESSIONAL AUDIT (CAREER GUIDANCE)
This service is offered to:
- actors who have been out of the profession for some time and whose skills have become rusty, but who wish to re-engage with the industry;
- those with little or no formal training initially who have managed to work as actors, but who now feel the need for specialist help in updating their skills;
- actors who have lost their motivation and confidence and need some refreshment of spirit.
UPDATING SKILLS
For actors who want to update their acting skills or improve their vocal techniques, working through appropriate exercises and texts.
PREPARATION FOR AUDITIONS
Help is offered to actors who want to build up a portfolio of material to meet different audition demands, and to those wanting to rehearse material for actual theatre auditions.
SIGHT READING
A general service is offered to all who have difficulty in reading at sight.
PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR PUBLIC SPEAKERS
For individuals from any discipline who speak regularly in public, or who give occasional verbal presentations, who need help in the presentation of self and the building of confidence, as well as the use and management of their voice. I am particularly keen to work with poets who would like to speak their own verse in public, but who have little or no knowledge or experience of public speaking.
Fees for all services quoted on request.
Testimonials
'Really enjoyed last night's performance of a new play by Conor McKee, BURNT. Well written and directed, with some equally strong performances by a talented young cast.' (Iain Scott, www.canal-st.co.uk)
